Performance and Rehearsal Notes - UIL Contest Week of March 5

Please note: Parking is limited so plan to arrive early.

 

TUESDAY

6:30 AM - Honor Winds low brass sectional

3:30-5:00 PM - Symphonic Band full combined rehearsal. Attendance in MANDATORY in order to participate in UIL

 

WEDNESDAY -  SYMPHONIC BAND

Students to bring formal uniforms (including black shoes/socks) in garment bags and sack lunch to school for bus ride to Midlothian.
1:45 PM - Stage performance

2:15 PM - Sight reading
Group activity to follow; students may bring $10-$20 spending money.

6:00 PM - Please pick up your student from CMSN

 

THURSDAY - HONOR WINDS

THURSDAY TRACK STUDENTS: Parents need to set up transportation if your child is running in the Southlake meet. You can pick up at Midlothian HS or meet us at Grapevine Mills Mall around 4:15. WE MUST have this in writing before we depart on the trip. If your child will travel with you OR another parent, it must be filed in our ISD office before the trip for legal reasons.

3:30 PM - Tuba, Baritone, Bass Clarinet, Tenor Sax, Bari Sax, Bassoon, French Horn

4:30 PM - Trombone

TUESDAY

6:30 AM - FULL BRASS (Trumpet, Trombone, Horn, Baritone, Tuba) and Alto Sax

3:30 PM - FULL WOODWINDS (Flute, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon, All Sax)

4:30 PM - Percussion

 

WEDNESDAY

6:30 AM - Trumpet, Tuba, Baritone

3:30 PM - Clarinet, French Horn, All Sax

 

THURSDAY

6:30 AM - Clarinet

3:30 PM - Flute, Oboe, Trumpet

 

FRIDAY

6:30 AM - Trombone

 

 

A note about emails

If you would like to stop receiving emails from band because your child is not in band this year, please read the following instructions on how to do so.

All you have to do is go into your PTO connect account which can be done by clicking on the link in the upper right of any band email or by going to http://cisd.ptoconnect.com/signup/CMSNPTO

When you are in your account, click on schools at the top left side and then go to the query and click that you would like to remove yourself from band.
