Coppell Middle School North and the band department would like to welcome our new assistant band director, Mr. Jeremy Lindquist, to our staff.

 

Mr. Lindquist comes to us from Creekview High School in C-FB ISD where he taught two years as Associate Director of Bands. His primary responsibilities were teaching the Symphonic Band I ensemble, Jazz Band I, and Marching Band.  Prior to his time at Creekview, Mr. Lindquist taught for six years at Dan F. Long Middle School in C-FB ISD where his responsibilities included teaching Concert band, Cadet band, and Sixth grade band along with team teaching Symphonic band.

 

Mr. Lindquist graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Music Education in 1999. While in Miami, he served as Principal Trombone of both the University of Miami Symphony Orchestra and the University of Miami Wind Ensemble. Mr. Lindquist is also a graduate of The Colony High School.

 

Mr. Lindquist's band at Dan F. Long has won Sweepstakes Award at UIL, Best-In-Class Second Bands trophy at DC Festival's Lone Star Showdown on four occasions as well as receiving Superior ratings. In his first year at Creekview the Symphonic Band I received its first ever UIL sweepstakes award.

 

Mr. Lindquist's wife, Mindy, is a seventh grade Language Arts teacher at Blalack Middle School. Mr. and Mrs. Lindquist enjoy spending time with their family and their two beagles, Starbuck and Mocha.
